"We're looking for Given Name(15)Azriel Family Name(72)Malek, he didn't respond to a message from an old colleague and we were wondering if there was some sort of problem."

"A parallel dimension where Tranquilo is run by The Angel Sisters."
"And there's no way to get him back?"
"None. Sorry I couldn't be more help."
"We'll go check out Tranquilo just in case."

"Nice to see you, too," says Florian. "Yeah, we have a couple of sisters now, you haven't heard?"
"And I don't suppose you have an interdimensional traveller in the city, by any chance?"

"Azriel Malek, right?" asks Rushdown.
"You know him?"
"No, but I know where he came from. There's been a bit of a misunderstanding."

Rushdown takes Dr. Sloane to meet Malek. When Malek sees Sloane, his jaw drops. "Sloane?" he says. "How in the world are you here?"
"You're on Tranquilo," says Sloane.
"No, I mean in this dimension."
"No, I mean you're on our Tranquilo. The portal didn't take you to another dimension."
"But what about the Angel Sisters?"
"They run part of the city just like each of the brothers does."
"So...I just got transported to Tranquilo? Fascinating. Dr. Slater will be thrilled when I get back to Paradox."

The pirate fleet is far too powerful for the Seventh Sun to take on - they have a well-armored dreadnought as well as dozens of smaller craft of various shapes and sizes.
The pirates hail the ship. "Good day there, Captain...?"
"Rushdown."
"Captain Rushdown. I'm Captain Moniker(41)Hook. That's a nice looking ship you have there. I think we'll be taking it. Get all of your people into shuttles and evacuate; we'll let you leave peacefully."
"That's not going to happen."
"Look at the position you're in - you have no hope of winning."
"All the same, I think I'll take my chances."
"They always think they're going to get away," says Hook, before ending the call.
"Some frigates are moving in," says Eyeball "It seems they want to take the ship. They'll be aiming for the engines to stop us from escaping."
"Evasive maneuvers, get us out of here," says Rushdown.
14 - Escape the Pirates

The large destroyer is not able to turn in time to avoid getting surrounded by the three frigates. More ships are coming in behind them, fast. The Seventh Sun starts moving at speed, and the enemy ships start firing.

The Seventh Sun has to perform looping evasive maneuvers to avoid being hit by incoming fire, and isn't able to get much speed up.
"We're getting swarmed, we need to fight back," says Rushdown. "Fire at the frigates."

The frigate is caught head-on by the blast, and appears to take heavy damage. It falls back, and a swarm of smaller ships takes its place.
"One down," says Rushdown, "Now for the next one."

A second frigate is taken out of the fight by another salvo. It too falls back and the swarm moves up. The Seventh Son takes aim at the final frigate.

The final frigate is taken out of the fight by the gunners, and the swarm advances once more. The Seventh Sun continues speeding away, firing at individual pirate ships with its smaller guns as the pirates try to surround and board it.

The gunners fight bravely, but there seem to be more ships than the Seventh Sun has guns and they continue to gain ground. "Keep firing!" yells Rushdown.

"We got lucky, they weren't trying to kill us," says Rushdown. "A pirate dreadnought is bad news. We should get back to Minami City to warn the Board."
The ship arrives at Paradox and they drop off Malek.

Dr. Slater scans Malek and says "This isn't our Malek."
"What do you mean?" asks Rushdown.
"This version of Malek came from another dimension. Perhaps he and our original Malek interacted with the portal at the same time and switched dimensions. Maybe with these readings we can somehow switch them back."
"Too complicated for me, Doc. I have to get back to Minami, urgent message to deliver."
Rushdown heads back to the ship and they move at speed to Minami City.

"A pirate with a dreadnought? That's bad news. No relation, by the way, I'm sure you were wondering."

"Sure, we have orbital batteries that'll knock out a dreadnought or two. Not to mention our own dreadnought. But Gallows and Tranquilo, not so much."
"Think they'll hit them?"
"Who knows? I'll send word and tell them to be prepared for anything. What are you up to now?"
"I think I'm going to head to Tranquilo to find the guy who's been sending mercs after me before he causes any more trouble."
