When something is true for Hatesh, the opposite is almost assuredly true for Michino. They worship the lady of light, Lorres, and ally themselves with the Lorresian Theocracy. They claim the eastern half of the former Rhodesian Empire’s territory, lands which are mostly grassland and forested. The leader of Michino is Emperor Niccolo, a man reputed to be a pious and clever man. It is worth noting that while mages are not illegal in Michino, mages are scorned and risk mob justice by zealots if they perform magic in public in the wrong towns.

Michino is a land with many rivers, leading to widespread growth of plants. The majority of the population live along the eastern coast where the woodlands are plentiful. While there's a great deal of potentially farmable land in the eastern half of the empire, much of it is unused due to proximity to the crusades and reclamation wars that plague the western border.

Notable landmarks include:

Velucio, capital of Michino and second most populous largest city in the known world. It’s a bustling trading port and renown for its artisan population.

Lake Folstati, home of the floating fortress of Tenebris.

The twin rivers, Ibix and Ibex, which provide water to most of the western regions of Michino and facilitate a massive amount of trade and communication.

The Emerald Coast, home to the best hunting in the old world and the home of the traditional seat of House Gautier.

Diplomatically Michino maintains friendly relations with the nearby Triumvirate of Antinia and has allied themselves with the Lorresian Theocracy. Harbia is of great concern to them and tensions are high between the two of them, though neither has opted for open conflict so far. The Hateshian Empire are their sworn enemies, having spent the majority of their existences at war with one another.

The Kingdom of Ossik is largely considered neutral, and the two have only just begun to discuss possible trade. Finally they hold a considerable grudge against the Vitan Federation and refuse to engage in any form of long term diplomacy with them unless it is to accept their complete surrender (Which as of the time of writing looks very unlikely to happen.)
