Rushdown is a mercenary captain who works for the Red Suns. His previous contract involved working against Takamaki Heavy Industries, which was ultimately successful.
Takamaki were impressed by Rushdown and the other Red Suns and being pragmatic rather than vengeful, they hired the Red Suns for a contract of their own. Rushdown's next job is to keep the peace in the Ashitaba sector and make sure it remains in Minami Clan's hands.
It is unknown what interest Takamaki have in Ashitaba or the Minami Clan, or what threat the Suns are supposed to be protecting them from.
Rushdown has been given a corvette, as well as the necessary crew to run the ship.
